With the capacity to host an event with 250 guests, discreet rooms for smaller meetings, break-out rooms, dedicated facilities, a bar and full on-site catering facilities, Cottingley Cornerstone is the perfect location for your event.

A total of eight different sized rooms, a bar and café means we have the flexibility to cater for everything from one-to-one interviews to events for 250 people or more, including weddings and small & medium sized conferences.

The Centre is equipped with the very latest in technology ensuring you have everything on site for your activity or event.

Situated on two levels linked by a lift and giving disabled people access to all rooms, Cottingley Cornerstone Centre has all you could need in a venue.

Rooms for large events

The Conference Hall on the ground floor is perfect for large activities and events, small conferences or weddings and celebrations.

It can cater for 250 people in a theatre style setting. For more formal events and banquets, 160 people can be comfortably seated around tables.

If you need break-out rooms for your event, then Conference Hall can also be booked with our other meeting and designated rooms, affording your guests the right space in which to think, share ideas and conduct business.

Used in conjunction with our bar and catering services it offers everything you need under one roof.

With sufficient notice, the Conference Hall can be extended to provide an additional 100 places by opening the screens which separate it from the adjoining church.

Rooms for smaller events

On the first floor we have two meeting rooms. The Board Room is the larger of the two with over 36 sq metres and is suitable for small groups of up to 20 people in theatre or boardroom style.

The Meeting Room is designed to cater for no more than four or five people and is best suited to break-out meetings, interviews or personal sessions for advice or counselling.

Rooms for designated events

Although our designated rooms are used for specific and regular activities at the Centre, they are appropriate to book for a variety of events and activities.

The Lounge is located on the first floor and is perfect for small informal meetings or group activities. Fitted out with comfortable chairs, a kitchenette and its own toilet, it offers a relaxed and independent atmosphere for discussion, debate and social activities.

The Creative Room on the first floor is designed as a creative activities space. It is a medium sized space in which 30 people can be seated in theatre style. When group activities are taking place, there is adequate space for about 20 participants to work round tables if required.

The Youth space, situated on the ground floor, works well for small groups engaged in creative and artistic activities that can work in pairs. Ideally suited to no more than 16 people, it can comfortably afford space for two people to work around their own table.

The  IT Suite on the first floor, provides an ideal environment for group learning, education and training sessions. Fitted out with 15 individual computers and capable of accommodating 20 people seated round a table in the middle of the room, it’s clean and bright décor supports the learning environment. To cater for customers with disabilities we have a height adjustable table and some mobile computer equipment.

Additional equipment in the IT Suite includes an Interactive White Board which can double up as a screen when used with our projector.

On the ground floor but separate from the main Centre, the Childrens Centre serves as our nursery and is available as a learning and play centre for the under 5’s. It can cater for up to 25 of them at any given time. When not in use as fornursery or play group, the room doubles up as another meeting room capable of seating 20 people gathered around one long table. It has its own kitchen, toilets and independent access.

The Cottingley Cornerstone Centre bar has a full licence from 11.00am - 11.30pm. With room for 20 seated guests and up to 30 people standing it can be hired for social, community or business activities at the Centre. Situated on the first floor with views out across the countryside, the bar offers a relaxing atmosphere in which to gather socially or network.

Equipment

At Cottingley Cornerstone we try to provide you with everything you may need for your event, occasion or activity. If we do not have a piece of specific equipment we will do our very best to make sure it is available when you use the Centre.

In the Conference Hall we have:

  • CD Player
